Coffee Outside and Show N Tell #2!!
It’s bike week and we’re doing two events :)
I know I know, “every week is bike week,” you don’t have to tell me twice. Twice though, is nice, and in the spirit of Twice is Nice we’re doing two events this year / this week / coming right up!
Wednesday 6/4: Coffee Outside
8:00-9:30AM has been described by someone who knows as “bike shop employee time, not normal people time.” Nevertheless, that’s precisely when we’re hosting a Coffee Outside at the tippy top of the sledding hill in Warner Park. I hope you can make it!
In case you’re unfamiliar with the capital “C,” capital “O” Coffee Outside moniker, the idea is you pack up your little camp stove and your portable brew method, some water, enough beans, and you bring it all to the Special Location where you proceed to sit around and make coffee…outside…with other folks doing the same thing. It’s cute, it’s tasty, and you get to be JACKED in some version of nature with some friendly bikers.
If you don’t have a whole kit as described above, just bring a mug and a smile, and we’ll take care of you. Doesn’t it sound nice to brew your own on a grassy knoll on the north side? Yes, it does. Wednesday! See you there.
Thursday 6/5: Bicycle Show ‘N’ Tell—20-Miler Smilers. 6PM!
I had a blast at our first Bicycle Show ‘N’ Tell route sharing event a couple months ago, and I’m excited for the second installment to make it onto the Bike Week event schedule. This time we’re focusing on routes between ten and twenty miles. Awesome.
A bonus li’l subplot to this one is we’ve recruited a number of local group ride organizers to lead the presentations. We’ll hear from Madison Women’s Cycling Club, Blonde Duck Bike Club, and Cap City Cyclists. Gosh, the Madison group ride scene is so stacked right now and I love it. These folks will be sharing inspiring rides within reach AND you can learn about the fantastic social and cultural assets they represent. Maybe you’ll be inspired to try one of these routes; maybe you’ll be moved to show up to one of their next rides!
As it was last time, we’ll have snackies and bubbly waters on hand. The event will run from 6-8PM. See you there!
